Lead times and fulfilment
Awlmart offers a specialist range by operating differently from a conventional stockholding retailer. Here is what that means for your order and its dispatch date.
A specialist, just-in-time model
Awlmart is run by a working leather craftsperson rather than from a conventional warehouse. I keep selected materials on hand, but much of the catalogue is sourced, collected or prepared once an order is placed. This makes it possible to offer uncommon leathers, specialist components and practical panel sizes without limiting the range to mass-stocked lines.
Typical lead times
Lead times are in the order of 2 - 3 weeks. I place my supplier orders weekly on Monday. Orders placed up to 3pm on Monday are generally able to be added to this order. I endeavour to ship client orders the day following receipt of my leather order. UK orders are generally received the next working day.
Preparation before dispatch
Leather ordered at a selected thickness is split and checked before packing. Panel cutting and other requested preparation form part of the fulfilment time.
